Alesha gave the youngsters at Manor College of Technology a morning to remember when she enjoyed a trip to the school on Monday. Staff and students alike were on a high for the rest of the day after the former Mis-Teeq superstar spoke to the performing arts pupils and even sang with a lucky select few. But it seems it wasn’t just the children who were left over the moon and inspired by the visit. Just hours after she left the school, in Owton Manor Lane, Hartlepool, Alesha, who was once dubbed ‘the British Beyonce’ by Bruce Forsyth, posted a number of messages on her Twitter account in glowing reference to Manor College of Technology.
She wrote: “Had the most amazing day at Manor college of technology, Hartlepool. Mr White is a fantastic headmaster! The staff are amazing.”
Just minutes later Alesha wrote: “Teachers don’t get enough credit! The students were so talented and lovely! It was so lovely watching them sing, dance and play instruments.”
And an hour later, Alesha was busy on her Twitter account again, this time posting: “I’m so overwhelmed. Being with the students 2day puts it all in perspective! I hope they’re inspired, I wish them all the luck in the world.”
Alesha, who still remains the most successful contestant ever to take part on Strictly Come Dancing with her average point score, gave an inspirational talk to the children at the school as part of her visit on Monday. And the talented pupils from Manor were quick to log on to their own Twitter accounts and give their thanks. Replying to a message from a student at the school, @ThomasAdamsxx, Alesha wrote: “you are sooooo cute!!!! It was an absolute pleasure meeting you.”
She later posted to @andriettax and @jaimeleigharmit, saying: “good luck with your exams and everyone else taking them at the moment.”
One student posted a picture of Alesha online which she had drawn, to which Alesha replied: “bless you! You’re amazing!”
