Alesha was spotted in London earlier this afternoon doing a photoshoot for the London 2012 Olympic Games. Alesha is the talent judge for the sporting event, which plans to recruit 70,000 volunteers for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games at the Olympic Park in Stratford, East London.
Alesha and Chairman of London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) Seb Coe will will be looking for dedicated and inspirational people representative of the diversity of London and the UK to apply for a wide variety of volunteer roles. The volunteers, known as Games Makers, are categorised into two types of roles: specialists, in areas such as medical services, sport or press operations; and generalists, with roles including spectator assistants, uniform distributors and ticket checkers.
This will be the UK’s biggest post-war volunteer recruitment campaign. Pre-identified applicants for specialist roles can apply from 27 July 2010 onwards. Applications for generalist roles will open on 15 September 2010.
