Alesha is lending her face to launch ‘Advocates for Animals’ new OneKind campaign. The striking image features the animal-loving celebrity’s face alongside a cat showing a similar expression with the strapline ‘We’re not that different’. Alesha says of the campaign; “I am delighted to support Advocates for Animals’ new OneKind campaign. I love all animals. Anyone who, like me has dogs or other pets, knows without question that animals have thoughts and feelings. This exciting new campaign reminds people that all animals deserve to be treated with compassion.”
Can an animal feel lonely, can an animal feel scared, can an animal feel pain? Common sense and experience have long implied that animals are capable of feeling. New research reveals that 91% of people believe this. This will come as no surprise to anyone who has a pet or has watched a wildlife documentary. Yet still millions of animals suffer needlessly every day. More and more, animals are marginalised, neglected, and exploited – in factory farms, in laboratories and in the countryside. Exploited at the hands of other animals. Humans. Us.
Animal cruelty and suffering is nearly always avoidable if there is a will to stop it. It’s time we recognised the fact that animals, like us, have thoughts and feelings. And change the way we live alongside them.
OneKind will build on the connections between people, animals and the natural world in a positive, inspiring and practical way.

Great that Alesha is supporting this campaign – does this mean that Alesha is a vegan now? Or does she still eat animals, despite saying that she loves them?
Robin – this campaign is about making people understand that animals have feelings and showing that it’s not ok to kick the crap out of them. She’s NOT campaiging for PETA! That would be hypocritical.
Regardless of whether she is a vegan or not EVERYONE should be an advocate for animals and care about their treatment and welfare.
You don’t have to be a vegan to love animals. Even before I became vegetarian I cared about animal cruelty and would not eat anything raised on a battery farm.
Instead of concerning yourself over what goes on her dinner plate you should be glad she’s at least campaigning to make a change about something.
Gosh, I was only asking a question for clarification, and I was not as you so coarsely put it kicking anything out of anyone.
I would suggest that it is hypocritical to say that “all animals deserve to be treated with compassion”, while continuing to eat animals. There is nothing compassionate about the slaughterhouse.
Hi Alesha!! you are very preatty with this animal.I like your eyes, are very beautifulls than this animal eyes.Bye and don’t forget make news songs.I LOVE YOU!!!!
